That's right, the statment I posted the other day was made by one of the dean's of American Calvinism. I'll have to admit I was a bit surprised when I encountered the passage. It just goes to show that our theological interlocutors are often much more complex and nuanced than they appear. I hope that we all heed the tone and spirit of the recent response by some Emergent folks to their critics. In a world where communication can be so dominated by sound bites and caricatures, what a witness a community of sympathetic and careful listeners could be.
(By the way, someone did guess the right answer. Way to go Mom!)

When you orignally posted the question, I had no clue what answer was, so I googled the phrase "The lucid interspace of world and world" and found it in the poem "Lucretius" by Tennyson (I felt this was cheating so I didn't post the answer. ;-)):
